What a unique opportunity the Lord has provided me.
I am humbled and proud to help the homeless on the streets of Austin. I read an article recently that June was homelessness awareness month. This made me think, who is aware? What is it a community does to be more aware? Being aware is just the start. I believe that after a meeting in Central Austin yesterday, 6-19-08, many more people are well aware of homelessness. Unfortunately some believe ignoring a problem will make it go away.
I listened to an interview on TV of a neighbor who stated they wanted their children to be free to run and play outside. Somehow this person believed giving the homeless a place to live would prevent them from allowing their children from playing outside freely. Is it a true statement to say creating a solution for homelessness means our children may not be safe? I go downtown every Tuesday to feed, cloth and minister to the homeless. I have brought my own children on many occasions. I have set up several Saturday BBQs in the park that were sponsored by 6th and 7th graders. There has never been any problem or reason for them to not be there, nor were they ever in danger. I suppose one could argue that there is a chance one or several of these homeless persons could have criminal records. I would also suppose these chances are similar in number to anyone’s neighbor anywhere.
What is it about homelessness that we are so frightened of? Stereotypes are not ok when it comes to ethnicity or gender but it is ok when it comes to the homeless. With today’s economy, gas prices, mortgage rate nightmares and many layoffs, many of us are just 2 paychecks away from being homeless. Maybe it is time to ask ourselves, "is this how I would like to be treated if I was homeless?"
I would invite anyone to come with me on Tuesday morning and experience what I experience. Please come and see that the homeless are human too and deserve all the respect our other community brothers and sisters get.
i watched all the news about this and i know 805 of ther conserns are unwarrented
and i firmly beleve and i confermd today that entire neighborhood is hiding a big demon and some are doing what ever they can to keep that demon in the dark but if i have my way that demon and others like it will see the SUNSHINE
i am strongly motivated by some of them calling me a pedafile
that i am not
some said i am a recless drug user
i am sober for along time
Some say i am a Criminal my record is clean
all lies so we need to bring the truth in LOVE to them
most of them have such gret hardness of ther hearts and Ignites hate
that no man can brake that accept GOD come in and melt there hearts of stone and give them soft hearts of flesh
but the word of GOD IS cooming to pass that Nation will rise against nation brother against brother
and the hearts of many waxing cold(unhuman)(insensativity)
But i feel a call this war is not against flesh and blood but against evil and wickedness in high places
(not flesh people and the lost) but against Demonic strongholds and demons and curses and demonic powers there of
Ther to the undeserning belever cannot see the Demonic stronghold over herold court area
and JESUS said you will know them by there fruit and if ye study the fruit of that meeting
you see who is behind the attack
the wicked one satan and the deseaved followers there of
but i promise to you that GOD is going to reshape that neighborhood for HIS GLORY and the chaff will be plucked out and there GOD will build his HOUSE and we like a city set atop a hill we will be that on that Hill in The House of the LORD
IF GOD wants to give this land to build sobeit therefor nothing cannot stop what GOD has ordaned to come to pass

oh i got 1 more thing to say
IF you call it a homeless park and they got a home how are they still homeless
Homeless means you dont have a place to live for what ever the reason
so calling MLF plan park a Homeless park would be a false name
it would just be calld Mlf park place village because when you take a person who is homeless and give them shelter to call there own
they automatically become Unhomeless
by example i was homeless intill i stumbled apon a converstaion
and asked questions and when i got my trailer i was the first by the grace of GOD
but when i spent my first night i Lost my status as a homeless person
so that stands today and Lord willing far into the future
a complete 180 from home to homeless to home again

My experience with the homeless is that they are lazy, psychopathic leeches who don't want to and refuse to work. I'll bet you hardly any of the people you feed work a real job.
Why waste your time and money on these criminals?
