Seed Planting in Minneapolis

We are now expanding to our sixth major city; Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Fr. Jim DeBruycker of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Minneapolis sent a letter inviting Mobile Loaves & Fishes to plant a new catering truck in their community.  The MLF Board of Directors approved the planting on July 19th at its annual board retreat.  Currently we are in Austin, San Antonio, New Orleans, Nashville, & Providence.

Bill McLellan initiated the discussion and made the motion which was unanimously voted on in favor of the planting.  This was a beautiful moment for Bill since his son Mark is one of the catalysts at St. Joan's making this happen.  Bill commented, "I am so proud of my son for this and all that he is doing, his family, work, working on his MBA and now taking on the ministry of Mobile Loaves & Fishes." 

This planting is particularly wonderful for Bill who raised his family at St. Joan of Arc.  The parish is about 60 years old and has over 4,500 families who travel from 150 different zip codes to attend church here.  A powerful testament to the social justice leanings of the parish.
